SELF IMPOSED Q & A

1)What was your worst day as a lawyer?
None really. Bad yes, but nothing really worst.

2)What was your most memorable experience as a lawyer?
A boy that I was defending in a "possession of stolen goods" case got off from serving any more jail sentence. This is no thanks to me as I was not making sense when submitting for no jail sentence for him. My first criminal (legal aid) case.

3)Who has been the most influential person in your life and why?
My mom. She was always there for me and she still is.

4)Why did you become a lawyer?
I got into it by accident actually. After finishing my Pre - University programme, there was 2 choices opened to me, either do business studies in New Zealand or UK or do Law in UK. The business studies in either UK or New Zealand does not at that time appeal to me, I can't for the life of me remember the reason.

5)What would your advice be to anyone wanting a career in law?
Yes. If you are really passionate about it, go for it.

6)If you had not become a lawyer, what would you have chosen and why?
A dolphin trainer. Still ponder on this till today.

7)Where do you see yourself in ten years?
Operating a bakery cum cafe somewhere. Doing something very different. Actually, more appropriate would be in 15 years.

Goodbye 2007

Goodbye 2007
Though it's hard to bid farewell
It's feels great to start a new clean page
To blotch and sketch life anew
So...
Bye, bye 2007
Welcome 2008
I wish for loads of good surprises and a fun ride.

Goned Car Battery

I am always such a klutz when it comes to anything relating to my car. Well, I do know where the water should go... for the wiper and the other one... and I do know where the black oil is and where to check for it. But that's it. My knowledge on this wonderful invention called motor vehicle ends there.

So, how was I to know that leaving the car door and the back compartment ajar for four (4) straight days without starting the car at all would result in the term the mechanics loosely called "dead battery" or "battery sudah mati" (the battery is now dead). Well, at least now I know. Lesson learnt.

However, I must really thank this guy who helped me this morning. He was supposed to tow my car to the workshop as I thought there was something really wrong with my car not thinking about the dead battery at all. He, however, jump started my car and voila... the car started running again. I was soooo happy, as you can probably tell. I'm soo glad that it was just my idiotism that made the car's battery go dead and nothing majorly serious.

Welcome back, my darling car. Sorry I left the car door and back compartment ajar resulting in you not having enough power to start your engine. I promise I'll never do it again.

By and by, there was a reason I left the car door ajar... there was a house lizard (cicak) in the car and I wanted it to leave. So, there...
