Swollen the eye

I have no idea how I managed it but I woke up this morning with a swollen right upper eyelid. It doesn't feel itchy, painful or anything else and I woke up feeling nothing weird with the right eye. However, upon close inspection while brushing my teeth, I realised that my right upper eyelid looks odd. It looks larger and swollen than the left one. Panic started, I was afraid that I might have an allergic reaction to something that I used that night. I was using a new facial cleanser.

As my mom was at home, easiest solution would always be (for me) to run to my mom for an immediate solution. Nothing like a little injury or some unsolved mystery, like my suddenly swollen right upper eyelid, turning you into a little kid and go crying to mommy for a solution.

And mommy always have a solution to any problem.

True enough, my mom said that some bug or an ant managed to sneak to my eye and bit it. I have no idea why this particular bug goes straight to the eye, there are other parts of my body that is easier to reach. Anyways, my mom also mentioned that by afternoon, the swollen of the eyelid should subside.

And she was right.

I hope I can be this precise when I am a mom. Please bestow me all the knowledge, instinct, sixth sense and everything else that a mommy would need in dealing with the mysteries of the unknown.

Stork's Bundle of Joy

It's so luverly to welcome these additional bundle of joy to my friends' brood: -

Deepika Letchumy - daughter to Pramjit and Jeya.

Danial Fitri - son to Juvita and Sazuan.

I have personally had the advantage of meeting Deepika (I hope I got the name correct) and she is just so amazing. Still so small and already she flashed me an amazing sexy smile. However, I do apologise to Deepika, I think she was mighty uncomfortable when I held her in my arms. I personally have limited experiences in handling newborn babies, actually not much experience on aged babies too. Only got experiences for little kittens. Somehow, that's not the same, right?

Anyways, Danial Fitri is concerned, I have not the opportunity to visit either the tired mommy or the baby. Should be soon, hopefully.

Lastly, before I end this blog, I also have to mention a few stuffs that are worth the mention: -

Sprinkle some stardusts

Yvaine & Tristan evading the powers of Lamia.

Last weekend I finally turned couch potato and watched the movie "Stardust". I had heard rave reviews about this fantasy movie. So, it came to no surprise that I actually enjoyed the movie to bits and am berating myself for not watching it earlier. It was marvelous to see beautiful Michelle Pfeiffer as Lamia turning into an ugly old witch with warts and wrinkly face, Robert De Niro as Captain Shakespeare playing a pirate who collects lightnings on a ship that flies in the skies and who loves to dress himself in cute frilly dresses, Claire Danes as Yvaine playing the star who got hit by a huge magical locket and landed on earth as a girl who shines (as she is the star) whenever she is happy, Charlie Cox as Tristan and the main actor who turned out in the end to be the ruler of Stormhold (this is actually predictable) and falls in love with Yvaine and there is even Sienna Miller and Ricky Gervais in the casts. Plus there is these ghosts who are dead princes that have to stay behind unless a king is found for Stormhold. So, once another prince is killed, they will join these ghosts and watch the remaining princes tries to catch hold of the locket to gain the crown for Stormhold. I like the princes names, Septimus, Primus, Tertius, Secundus, Sextus, Quartus, Quintus, all seven of them. One actually died while he was having his bath, so was parading around as a ghost with appropriate cloth or other apparatus covering his hoo hoo.

All in all it was an entertaining movie with appropriate comedy inserted in the unexpected places considering it's a fantasy movie, I never expected much comedy in it.

Ohh... Michelle Pfeiffer as the witch was after Claire Danes as the star who has a heart that provide whoever that eats it with immortality and youth and beauty. Michelle Pfeiffer as the witch rocks!!! I wish I had her powers. I liked the part when she was losing her beauty and she was trying to use her power to zap her boobs to look perkier when instead it sags even more!! Funneee.
